Lots of places in that tank for the fish to explore, and still some open space for swimming.

Agreed. This will be good. They can both establish their territories. I would personally remove the guppies if you put the puffers in. Their tails may be quick food. I've never seen a better predator than a puffer on the hunt.

Thanks!

Yea, I should have mentioned the guppies won't be staying in the tank. I just have them in there now so the tank isn't empty (I was waiting until I returned from a 2 week holiday to get puffers) but I will move them back to my 10 gallon when I get the puffers.

I am excited to get these little guys. Any time I am in the LFS I go right to their tank. So fun to watch.

I have a pea puffer with a half moon and 6 female n 3 male endlers in the 6g fluval edge. I always see the puffer getting out of everyones way but I never see any1 try to attack it either.
How often do you guys feed snails to your pea puffers?

Freshwater pufferfish are very territorial, predatory fish, they don’t play well with others. Your puffers will constantly have territorial spats, and one will eventually end up eating or killing the other weaker puffer especially in tanks that small.

I'm not into the image, but into the hobby...

IMO that tank is MUCH too small for more than 1 puffer, but with that said...try lowering the temperature by 2 degrees F. Another is catch the mean one and keep him and the net in the tank for 4-5 days. Often this gives the others a chance to feel dominant, but the roles might reverse once you let him out. Puffers are some of the most aggressive species of fish. Sometimes a female can be kept with other fish.

High plant load is an understatement, lol. Are your 3 puffers all female?

2 males,1 female

When I first got them I didn't have many plants so I put in a rock cave & small clay pot in hopes to curb aggression, But they still nipped. The aggression stopped when I added more plants & allowed them to grow into a jungle.
