here is a pretty poor quality video of the bump of my betta's side. the first part of the video starts off showing the not so swollen side. i have been giving him small bits of peas but he is also eating snails in the tank.
i have raised the temp to about 82-83 and just started maracyn 2. i don't have epsom salts at the moment and i have been SO busy with the move that i haven't had a chance to go get them. i have both maracyn 1 and 2 but the chart in the package said that 2 was the best course of action for this.
he has been pretty active until recently. i think it is because of the snails he has been eating. i had to put him in the 10 gallon to treat him and there are so many snails in there because it has been empty of fish for about 2 months - but still had a few water changes and was filtered the whole time. i can't get them all out since there are so many. since last night he has been mostly resting on the floor of the tank or in the leaves of the plant. he is also hanging out near the heater.
i hope that he is going to be ok.
