Any idea what this is?

Just found this in my sump. I assume it's eggs, but I have no idea what they are from. A couple pygmy rasboras ended up in my sump recently, and a few snails. Nothing else as far as I know. Any ideas?

Oh wonderful :/

I just examined my tank thoroughly and found a few more groupings.

So, what fish are recommended to keep the snail population under control?

Before looking at adding fish to control your snail population, I would just manually remove as many snails/snail eggs that you find.

A Primer to Pressurized CO2 and A Primer to Planted Tanks

Unintentionally, I found that Peacock Gudgeons seem to like snail eggs. I haven't really done much since the original post to control the population of snails, but they haven't seemed to get out of control... yet.

Assassin snails are amazing, they have cycles of hunting time and hiding, but when they hunt 5 assassins will clear out my 55g tank of pond and rams horns(50+) in one sitting , if they arent hungry they just kill them for 'fun'!
Assassin snails = $5, no pest snails = priceless!!
