Clown Plecos eat plants?

After getting rid of my sailfin marble pleco that ate my swords, i am taking a look at some clown plecos. Has anyone ever heard of these guys eating plants?

i have one and he's never looked at the plants, the dont even like algae.

They are beautifull little plecs but also very shy, you wont see him at all during the day.

I didnt see mine for 1 month once

I have two of them in my 75. I have to look and look to find them, they do not mess with any plants AT ALL. They dont even hang out on the glass, I wonder sometimes why I got them... lol But they are neat looking!

I bought one labeled as a "baby royal pleco". After a few months I've come to find that it is actually a clown pleco. He has since cleaned my entire tank of every speck of algae. I have a 55 gallon planted tank, and so far the only plants he has eaten have been a red rubin sword and I think it's called taiwan nymphoides. Aside from that he also attacks any leaves that aren't perfectly healthy, namely a few of my swords. He never touches the healthy leaves though, so it's fine.
