Hard to tell, but better to be safe than sorry. lower the temperature and add salt, see if it shows any improvement. The biggest question is, is it growing? if it is, then is columnaris
Sick ones at first but otos are very sensitive, if it is columanaris the bad strain will kill them within 24 hours, start with the otos make she they have food in the qt tank, make sure the tank is 74-76 as columanaris has a hard time spreading in lower Temps
The Oto in the quarantine tank seems to be acting normal. I think she's getting used to the tank right now.
my quarantine tank is a 3 gallon tank with 1 tablespoon of salt (17g). I'll add another tablespoon of salt tomorrow. I don't want to add too much salt at one time
Other fishes in my main tank are also acting normal and doesn't show any signs of white spots. Both julii corys are having fun surfing with the water outflow. The other oto is eating from the glass.
Day 2 in salted tank. Red outer lining starting to appear around white spot.
