I have a local seller who says he will have wild caught Apistogramma borellii available next week. After considering a variety of fish including gourami and rainbowfish, I have decided to go with Apistogramma.
Below is a photo of the tank.
54 gallon corner
adding CO2 and maintaining ph of 6.6 with a controller
maintain a kh of ~4.0, tap water ranges between 2-4
currently have:
8 platies of various sizes
5 corydoras sterbai (plan to add 3-4 more)
considering adding 6 Apistogramma borellii, 4 female and 2 male
what are your thoughts of:
1) my plan to add Apistogramma?
2) the choice of borellii?
3) adding six to this tank?
4) the ratio of 4 female and 2 male?
