I'll try to keep the story short:
I have a 15g tank originally stocked with 6 amano shrimp and a betta fish. Its moderately planted, but many plants are recovering from an h202 dip gone wrong, so there's a lot of ground floor.
I purchased 3 cories, two young and one adult. Acclimation process went fine...its the feeding that's causing problems.
I feed them Thera +A sinking pellets. The first day, i fed my betta first, and sprinkled some so they fell around my cories...my betta managed to find them first.
2nd day, fasted betta, tried to be more sneaky about the food. Amano shrimp got it, cories got maybe one each.
3rd day, come home to some of my ground plants eaten and uprooted. I can only imagine they're starving! I tried feeding them again, and i think they all got a nibble, but my betta saw them enjoying their food and snuck down to the tank to steal a pellet right from underneath them.
Anyone have any suggestions? =/ I dont want to accidentally overfeed, but i cant imagine this behavior will resolve itself anytime soon!
