My Dream Aquarium

Dear friends....

I am newly born baby for aquarium planting and this is my dream tank (but need to do some update l guess)

I really appreciate if you could help me to find necessary/budget accessories for my dream aquarium and valuable advises.

48(w) x 24(h) x 18(d) inch

Water capacity:
Nearly 260 liters

Do I have to add some salt/chemicals?

Hope river sand is suitable for this? Or do I have to use original fish tank soil/ substrate?

Filter system:
External filter, Power filter or Bio filter
Which one is the best/necessary and low cost filter?
If I go for a external filter what is the necessary filtering rate (liter per hour rate)
What will happen if I use power filter?

Do I need to match bulb's wattage according to my water capacity?
What is the best theory?
Can I use LED lights? If yes... give me some example/model
Do I use more lights because of other plants?

What are the things going to balance by maintaining this?
I have no idea. I really appreciate if you can explain what is the best way to do this?

Hope I have to maintain pH/KH level and temperature. So, what are the chemicals/methods that I have to use/follow? Or is there anything else that I have to know?

Water Plants:
Hemianthus Callitrichoides
Hair Grass
Hemianthus Micranthemoides
Hemianthus Umbrosum
Lilaeopsis Novaezelandiae
Hydrocotyle Sibthorpioides
Echinodorus Quadricostatus

Other plans:
I can find some varieties from my garden.

Can I know which method is better for reduce of growth?
Have to maintain this by using correct light? or any other method?

I don't have lot of knowledge on this. Hope small varieties are the best like neon tetra. Advise me some best varieties?

Water change and other maintains:
I really appreciate if you guys explain this.

Thank you…. (y)

Why don't you start with a 10/20gl tank first and get the hang of things

Welcome aboard!
1.) Tank is too big for DIY Co2.
2.) As a general rule, watts is no longer considered a good measurement of lighting. Look into PAR values. IMO LED's are the way to go:-)
3.) Fertilizers: Research the Estimative Index (EI) dosing; very simple w/ 50% water change (WC) weekly.

What are we looking at when we see this picture ?
I ask this because this tank already has a filter and lights and looks as if the
owner is getting the plants growing well so far in it.
So are we looking at a tank you already have or a tank that you would like one similar to?

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight the opposite direction...
