Hello,

Does anyone have any known great plans for a DIY canopy for a planted FW tank, 70 Gal?

Thank you in advance.

Here's a few goodies...

Buck's Canopy

based on George Booth's design

My Personal Favorite

malkore's Hood

Jart's Unique Hood

King Vinnie

That should get you started - If I could build one - anyone can.

Thanks for the links.

What I want to do is build a canopy that will look very nice (like a piece of furniture). Functionally it needs a hinged hood for feeding and maintainance. I will be adding 2-3 29 inch T5 light strips with a reflector. My tank dimensions are approximately 36X16.

the wiring for this looks so complicated, do they have like books on how to do these things (Buck's Canopy), and another thing, what if your tank doesnt have the box thing on top of it

That is a great set-up you have there. Can you by any chance give me some more info on the CO2 system that you have, ie. the names of the various parts and online places I might be able to get them, or at least the type of stores that might carry them.

Thanks,

Alec
