CO2 Indicator

I've google this and searched the forums but just wanted to post this to see if anyone has come up with some simple and partially attractive ways to accomplish this cheaply.

I'm referring to a drop checker, sorry. Not the actually solution.

Have you taken a look at my Primer to Planted Aquariums (linked in my signature below)? I have some instructions on a DIY CO2 drop checker.

Magnet-attached Drop Checker is the best drop checker I have made. Not perfect, because the indicator solution doesn't last nearly as long as with conventional drop checkers.

Those are both nice ideas. I'm looking for something I can make out of something I already have but I guess I'm off to the store because doesnt' seem I have the imagination to make it work. Doesn't help when you have two toddlers screaming while you are trying to be creative. lol

Unless you want a special DIY look or function, you can't really beat the price of a cheap drop checker from China.

Save your DIY skills for where it counts. Perhaps some stylish earmuffs to block out the screaming.

Funny, I just ordered one and came back to this thread haha! The problem is I just don't have a lot of extra supplies around that most DIYers would have so its actually cheaper to order... Hopefully that will change soon. :P

"the very first thing you need is some whiskey" lol

Not bad.. looks cheap enough. I went ahead and ordered one and should recieve it before christmas.

I was honestly considering doing some glasswork and seeing if I could start up a new hobby.
