125 DIY Flip-top hood

I made this and I'm proud of it. It's equipped with 8x32 phillips daylight deluxe 6500k running 2xOD. Total height is 6 3/4" and width is ~14". I have 3" gap at front for feeding and the front half flips onto the back half via piano hinge for planting, pruning etc.

I know detail on these pics is hard to see after the white paint but I'll clarify details if anyone has questions.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's the nicest DIY effort at carpentry I've made at 37 years old. I didn't want to have a tall canopy or pay the expense involved in going MH. MH just seems like way too much light as well. I get great pearling with this setup and the center 36" gets ~4wpg while the outer ends get more like 3 so I think it's gonna suit my needs really well.

Nice work! I am just not too big on that gap.

I misstated the width as 14". It's actually 16". There's no gap when centered on the tank. I slide it back to expose the gap when feeding, etc.
