Ridgid Tubing

Hey guys,

I was curious where you guys got your ridgid tubing from to make the venturi reactor??

I've checked the local hardware stores and such (I live in Calgary, Alberta) and I just can't seem to find any. The only stuff I can get is the flexible stuff.

It seems like a bit much to order online, and I wouldn't even know where to do that.

Was hoping you guys could help out.

Thanks,

Not sure what Venturi reactor you are referring to, but in a bind, you can use what they sell as gravel vacs in pet stores.

Any strong plastic bottle found in Ma's kitchen might work too...

I think Aflac is referring to the Tube that goes down inside the middle of the reactor that supplies the CO2... That's why they said "Ridged Tubing"... Home Depot & Lowes carries them, even my LFS does too... I don't know where in Canada you'd find them, but, if you have a hoe improvement store around, they would probably have them there! I don't know what size to use either, so I can't help you out there. I would guess it should be able to have the CO2 line go over it snug. <~~???

If that's what they are referring to--then:

1) I've never understood the need for it--just run the regular tubing down inside....

and

2) Its the tubing for the airline for an UGF. A local petstore should have it---If not, I have Plenty: Shoot me a PM with your mailing address and I will mail a small piece to you....

Thanks for the replies guys.

I was referring to the small piece of tubing that goes down inside. I checked the Home Depot and a couple other spots but most of them looked at me like I had three heads when I asked for help.

I found a viewtainer to use for the housing piece just looking for the tubing now.

Maybe I can give it a whirl with just regular tubing and see how it goes.

Thanks again.

Give it a shot. If it doesn't work - just let me know and I can cut a couple of biz size envelope pieces....
