just finished painting my new stand for my 100 gal concrete aquarium..
100 gal. water - est. 400 kg
3 inch bottom slab - est. 250 kg
3 inch side slabs - est. 100 kg
12mm glass panels - est. 20 kg
substrate , hardscape - 30kg
est. total weight of 800kg +
i had a stand before made of coco lumber..
but i was doubting it could hold this much weight..
so i made this new stand to make me feel safer..
if there are any engineers here. please evaluate my stand.
if it could hold 1000 kg / 1ton..
i used what available materials i could get in my place
( house undergoing construction )
used 2x2 angle bars 3mm thick and 1x1 angle bars 3mm thick.
some steel tubes.. and some 2mm thick square bar..
and some c puline like bar.. thou i do not know what it's name is..
and heres a rough diagram in paint on how i planned it.
(forgive my paint skills)
stand dimensions are..
length 57 inches
width of 25 inches
height of 43 inches
