Most of the DIY CO2 threads on here and on every other forum are all pretty much self explanatory. Do a google search.

HOPPY has a thread on this. Look that one up. Have me some ideas on my setup I have now. YouTube videos will show you how to do it. I recommend using glass bottles and rubber stoppers. They will seal way better than soda bottles, and I have a glass diffuser which requires a high pressure to work. No leaks

You can buy some bottle caps made for DIY CO2 use on one of the popular websites for small odd items like this. They look like:

If you use something like these, the whole DIY system will be a lot easier to put together, and very likely have fewer leak problems.

If you start with the right side of Hilde's drawing, include as many bottles as you want, and a separator bottle, that is the way I did mine. But one separator bottle per generator bottle. If I wanted 2 generators per tank I set them up separately.
Then... see the left? The pump and gravel vac tube? I just used a bubble stone, and suction cupped it under whatever powerhead was already in the tank.

Any ideas on how to shut off the Co2 at night without wasting any? Or should I continue to just let my generators run 24/7? Figured I might be able to increase my bubble count by 'storing' the Co2 when the lights are off....but that can also be risky too and create imbalances right?
