Who has tinted the back of their tank?

I'm sure a number of people have used Dark "limo" window tint as their background rather than painting it... If so could you please post a pic?

i'm debating doing it to my new tank in the next week or so and would love to see how it looks on other members tanks.

Thanks for the tip/pic

Do you think black vinyl and be better or just stick with paint?

I've had good success with Krylon Fusion, satin black. I just mask off the edges of the back of the tank, taping paper to cover the rest of the tank completely. There's lots of threads on the subject. IMO, the problem with tint or a backing of some sort is getting it to apply completely flat with no bubbling. I dunno. I love black backs on tanks though.

Go with flat black spray paint. Window tints give too much shine.

If you don't want it as shiny, but still don't want to paint it. Go to a sign shop and get flat black vinal. It goes off and on just like window tint but you have a ton more options to pick from.

We don't inherit this world from our parents, we borrow it from our children.

Ive done tanks with both satin and flat krylon fusion. Because you are seeing the under side of the paint, and not the outside finish, they look the same. Paint it
