sea-clone clone skimmer ( idea )

Hey guys I have a sea-clone skimmer that is missing some parts

I am missing the top collection cup and the bottom U tube that hooks up to the powerhead. Now I know I can use a tupperwear container or something for the collection cup and hosing for the tube.

Just looking for other ideas, I can post back with some pictures of things I have around the house if need be.

I am just wondering if anyone has any Ideas on how I could still use this, I have a little bit of filth on the top of the water in my tank, and I want to be able to filter it off somehow.

Or maybe somehow something made up from the maxi-jet 1200 power head that came with it.

any and all help is very much appreciated.

on mine, I used a cheap child's snorkle tube I had laying around that was the right diameter. I got really lucky... modification was very minor, and it's opaque so algae's not a problem.

I think I am gonna find some pvc tubing I have laying around see if it fits into the one tube chamber then fit a tupperwear container around the pvc.

Then I just might use some old fluval hose I have laying around for the other piece.
