Building an ADA style tank, looking for advice

I got my hands on a 30 c, which is a small 7 gallon 12x12 tank.
I want to build an ADA style stand but dont know where to get started.

Could you guys give me some advice on building one as cheap as possible. I only say this because the tank is onlt 7 gallons, is mdf( i think thats what its called) wood good enough for a tank this size?

What would i need and how much cash do you think ill have to spend?

thanks in advance

painting mdf is a good option if you want to do it as cheap as possible, but you will always be able to see where the wood was cut when you paint it coz the paint soaks in a lot easier on the cut sides... if you can live with this then painted mdf is a great option.

here in sa we get cheap pine shelving called laminated pine, its cheap and lightweight, this might also be a good option as you should be able to finish it nicer.
