Apparently my water supply is high in PO4. Have been fighting persistent algae in my planted tank. All other parameters seem fine.
PH 7.0
KH 14
No3 10
PO 4 5
How can I lower the PO4? I believe, (after weekly 50% water changes) that this is coming from my water supply.
I'll second that, I have been keeping my PO4 higher for only a week and already the spot alage is decreasing. I was a high as 3, but I dont think that 5 would matter.
You need to raise your CO2 level to at least 30ppm. If you are not putting in CO2 you need to start. Also do a search on flourish Excel. When overdosing it can help control BBA.
