Re: Sera

Maybe you could try a temporary work around if the software allows it: either have shipping as a required 'item' or start the shopping cart with shipping already added. Then promote it as '$5 fixed shipping'.

Since you're gonna carry these Sera goodies, I'm holding off on the purchase of other items at different retailers so I can get everything from one source. Looking forward to it.

Groovy

They should be in in about two weeks. But it sort of depends on how long customs keeps the shipment for.

In what I'm considering a minor miracle, my order for these showed up last night. I didn't get a whole bunch of each, so I thought I'd mention that they arrived in this thread before putting up a thread in the "For Sale" section later today.

I got the following:
PH
KH
GH
Nitrate
Nitrite
Ammonia/Ammonium

Prices are as listed on page 1 of this thread.

I'll take the Nitrate one....let me know total with shipping to CT. I do not care about speed of delivery.

nitrate $11.95

Hi Clay,

I am interested in ordering the Sera GH kit and a Nitrate kit but have not been able to find these on the website?

He hasn't put them up yet. Send him a PM.

And to anyone else reading this: You likely won't find a better test kit for this price anywhere. Jump on it.

Somewhatshocked had it right. They're not on the website yet. Just PM if you're interested for now. I'll have them on the website this week.

Got the kit..works great. 4 separate solutions to mix just to get the reading.

hedge_fund: After I realized Sera kits actually gave reliable readings (calibration aside) - and figured out how much goes into testing for things like Nitrate - I've been unable to use anything like API.

Betting you're feeling the same after a few tests.

As I said before, I hadn't had any experience with Sera test kits before these came in.

Kind of coincidentally, I've got a new reef tank cycling, and realized all of my current test kits were really old and I didn't feel I could trust the results (I only use gh/kh/ph regularly for shrimp tanks) so I purchased an API ammonia test and a couple of Seachem tests (phosphate, nitrate) right before ordering the Sera kits.

It's pretty shocking how much better the Sera kits are. I thought the API tests were bad until I got the Seachem tests. Really? I have to mix all my chemicals and water in a little plastic dimple?

You guys have converted me. I'll be switching to Sera for my tests.
