MonsterRay, Ray2, or Planted+

I have a 20H and I want to do convert it to a high tech tank. I have co2 and I want high lighting. I currently two 24W coralife double T5HO fixtures.
I want to ask which light or combination of those three will get me to be able to grow HC and other high light demanding plants

Thanks in advance!

The planted plus would do it:

ULTIMATE PLANT LED: Finnex FugeRAY Planted+ LED ...coming soon

A ray2 with the monster suspended a few inches or so would also give you great results. But also be twice as expensive.

Which is better? the ray2 or monster ray? Well, money isnt much of a problem because I saved up for a larger tank but ended up not buying it.

If I had to pick one I would go with the ray2. The monster is not the best on its own but added with the ray or ray2 it will makes your colors pop like crazy!

That being said the planted+ has your red and blue 'boosters' if you will. Red adding a very important spectrum for the plants and blue adding great color. If you go to their website, finnex does a good job with the specifications.

The ray 2 would be the brightest light you can get for this. Even on a 20g the planted+ would give you plenty of light. I like the planted because the colors with the red are awesome.

What stealthypotatoes said. Personally I would go with the planted+ cuz it is enough for high light and it's gonna look way better.

How are these lights compared to the LED lights that current offers.

Finnex planted + all the way. I have bought two and LOVE them! Awesome lights all you do is plug them in and set a timer and you'll never have to tough them or replace anything for years.

Are they light? Is it possible to hang them?

They are very light, I think they only weigh two pounds. Especially on the smaller ones, I imagine you could hang them if you wanted to. I just put mine right on the glass because it is so small and light. I think my glass weighs more than the light does.

W ll a planted plus be enougnto grow a carpet in a low tech shrimp tank. Or would it be too much. I have a fugeray on my ten gallon right now but it's kinda worthless, it can keep color in plants and plant growth is slow to non existent.

must....have.....more....moss n shrimp!!!!!!!!!!
