Will the planted + be more or less bright than the ray 2? I have a 22" need tank and am wanting a par of 40-50. I guess I am trying to decide if I should wait for the planted + or get a ray 2 now

Not to speak for finnex but par numbers have not been released. They have advised that it will be less par than RAY2. With you aiming for 40-50 par we would need to make that estimate based on your complete tank specs but if I was going to guess for that level you are probably looking at RAY2 level of intensity unless the tank is really shallow.

For me when it come to computers or any sort of product I always get what I need and what is available. I find waiting for things to be released is a zero sum game. Once that bleeding edge product is released there will always be something newer and better announced. Get what you need and move on and enjoy life, life's too short.
