Arrow Finnex MonsterRAY Color Enhancing PAR Data

Our Finnex MonsterRAY LEDs were original designed for Arros, Flowerhorns, Discus, etc.. but since many of you have incorporated these units on to your planted aquarium I went ahead and requested PAR data for you guys.

And just for fun...

That's some PAR on the Ray2/Monster. I'd be curious to see more pictures of that particular setup or the Fugeray+Monster in actual applications.

I currently have a Ray2 on my 60p, and I'm thinking of adding the Monster. For the Ray2 + Monster setup, were both lights in the very middle of the tank so they were touching? Also, the distance from center would be different depending on if you were going toward the Ray2 vs toward the Monster, right? Do you know which direction they were taken in?

To get our 'OFFICIAL' PAR numbers, we simply take our manufacturers results along with our own results and average them. Readings are typically within +/- 5-10 of each other.

I apologize but I do not know which unit was in front during their readings when they gave us the combo result, but when we did it, our horizontal readings were with the RAy2 in front.

Anyway you could do a 36" fugeray with the 36" monster ray PAR rating?

Thanks Lowe! I recieved my 36" fugeray in the mail today for the 40 gallon breeder I'm going to set up soon and I was very very impressed! What an amazing and slim light! I was worried the fugeray would not be bright enough but it looks great! I would love to see the PAR with the monster and I will order one of those(=

I'd love to know the PAR for combining the 48 inch RayII with the 48" monster.....

Maybe just get the data for the combination in all possible sizes...or at least sizes 24" and above.

Ugh....I have to get me one of these :P

You said you originally had designed this to bring out the colors in cichlids and monster fish?

Hello I'm trying to setup my 40B planted tank I would like to know if I can grow plants with just the Finnex MonsterRAY LEDs only since my budget is limited for the moment, or should I use a Fuge Ray? Plants that I have in mind are just your regulars like Rotala Indica, Rotala sp. Vietnam, Jungle Val, Bacopa Caroliniana, Green Cambomba, Ludwigia Repens, Ludwigia Glandulosa, Pogostemon Erectus, Micro sword, and Dwarf Sag. I'm going with Miracle Grow Organic for substrate. Fish will be 25 Harlequin Rasbora and a couple of cory cats.
