As far as your question of sacrificing par, no I would not prefer you sacrifice par levels and I would probably move on to different lighting if that was the direction you took with your fixtures. Personally I like the look or "feel" of the original 7k/10k in comparison to the double 7k fixtures now available. If I were to ask for the perfect plant tank fixture, it would be the 7k/10k mix with alternating blue/red spectrum lights and be done with it.

I would drop the 18"/30" fixture and stay with the 12" multiples.
I couldn't have said it better. My two biggest things:

1. Keep/ go back to the more blue side.

2. Dimmers are worth the extra price. I would pay a lot more for a dimmer.

And 40-60 Par is not a lot of light. Keep the par high and enable dimming.

The older 7K/10K was washing out colors for me, especially reds. Moonlights are a plus but only with a dedicated cord. Built-in timer is a waste as external is ~$6, imho. No idea what I would want 4,800K for...

PAR, dimmer, spread, and longer cords please.

The 30" size is very popular here in Canada.

What I would give if Finnex light fixtures had a dimmable feature with timers...

It's one of the reasons I'm actually considering paying obscene amounts of money for the maxspect razor.

Planted Lights

I would like to see a vender start offering the lights in Painted White. More and more tanks are either clear cube or rimless or in some cases white such as the Innovative Marine Line. It is a very modern and contemporary look.
Would be nice to see some one going outside the box to some degree so we can decorate our hard work with nice aquarium furnishings.

You may be able to adjust the voltage after the power adapter to dim the lights

Would like to see a 30" fixture with a full panel of LED's to light up the corners.

I also don't care for the moonlight LED's.

12" more on the cord would be helpful.

Dimmers sound like a wonderful thing. And personally, I'm more for PAR than I am color, as I like getting my plants to grow incredibly well and not have to worry about lighting levels.

Watching very closely for this one! Please keep a true 30" (like the fugeray) with par between a fugeray and a ray2! I need a little more Par penetration for a deep tank without having to raise the lights or inject Co2. My short plants and fissidens would love you for it!

LONGER CORDS; I am tired of buying extensions as I will own about 15 finnex lights now.

Separate cord for moonlights so we can put them on timers.

Excited to try out the new light on a 20L
