Hey guys. The light was not developed with plants in mind so I'm not sure about how plants will fair as I do not have much data on it's actual light output. I will try to get a picture of it on a tank for you guys to see shortly. Bare with me!
I would like to see picks too. If it dose make the plants and fish stand out better, it may be nice to use with the ray 2. Looking forward to the picks. The one of the flowerhorn looks to good to be true
I just want to see what it does to bring out color. If it has red blue and green LEDs it will have some effect on par, I'm guessing very little. But if teamed up with another ray it may look and work well.
These were originally developed for fish only by one of my associates who is in love with arowanas and various cichlids. It never dawned on us on using the units on planted tanks. I'll get some quick numbers for you now.
Thanks Lowe I bet my German blue rams would look great under that light. Many planted tank peeps keep gbrs and various tetras that should look good to, not to mention the lights may make the colors in the plants pop. I know marinelands plant led uses RGB LEDs. Thanks for the par data. I, and I'm sure many others would be interested in a few pics of a tank with it on. I wonder if the ray2 would wash out the monster ray if paired.
I'm thinking one of these paired with a Fugeray would be a great setup Any plans for shorter versions?
Sorry, 24" is the shortest atm
Here's a Finnex MonsterRAY on one of our users (swkais3) tank making the colors strike. He's got a beautiful Kamfa. We're both having troubles getting photos/vids of the actual color it produces. His video is showing more blue than it should. Ours is showing more red.
