I really like the neat look the metal racks give it. Really makes it look a lot neater than most fishroom settups.

Lots of the tanks look open-top. Do you do anything special to deal with humidity?

I had about 600G of salt water running in my fishroom, and evaporation is actually encouraged there. In the winter (pretty long in my neck of the woods) it was a perfect countereffect to the dry heat of the woodstove in the den. But when things would get wet and soggy in a wet April or September, the tile floor in the basement would actually sweat. Switching back to 90% FW over the next few months and plan on glass covers to a large exent.

I wish I had enough floor space left for a recliner! I'm working on bringing tunes down there at least.

I have two dehumidifiers hard plumbed to sump pumps (water goes to the sewer line).

Never have I heard anyone say that they encourage evaporation on a SW tank. Evaporation on a saltwater tank means increased salinity and changes in salinity, both extremely bad scenarios.

Great fish room! I'm beginning to plan my 12X8' area in the garage my dad's letting me have.

Your Tank Room

Hello ms...

You must have taken out a second mortgage on your house, to pay for all of that!
