Candy Cane Tetras

Hi Rachel,

Do you think you might ever stock candy cane tetras? They are quite pretty fish.

Thanks!

It turns out "candy cane tetra" is just the name given by the local fish store. The true name is Hyphessobrycon bentosi or Bentos (white tip) tetra:

Another beautiful one is the Rosy Tetra or Hyphessobrycon rosaceus:

Those pple were nuts not to buy them...I been looking for them for years now. Pacific (LFS/NYC) carries them, but always hit and miss for me....Lmk when you have them.......I know your $$$ is reasonable and will remain that way.

Cheers!!!

I think the trick is in the name! Everyone loves candy canes, so if you just name them candy cane tetras, they'll sell like candy!

I totally understand if you don't want to stock them. I think I'm actually going to order some cardinals from you instead, however, I need to wait a couple weeks because I just got a school of rummy nose tetras and want to let them acclimate before dumping another 12 fish in there.

Cool Candy Cane Tetras

I just bought 6 of them today. The second I saw them I was hooked. The employee helping me said that once they settle in the tank, they will be a lot or refer on the body.
