If I saw that spider, Im not sure what id do....Ive never seen a spider that big. I guess Im not as big of an insect fan as the rest of you but if I saw that spider behind a cheap clock like that one...id have to smash it in hopes the spider took the blunt of it. <shivers>

Most Tetras have a mouth too small to do any damage.

The best fish for this sort of feast IMO is the one on my avatar, the African Butterfly Fish (Pantodon buchholzi). I have a pair of them, and while the regular (tetra, barb, guppy) fish keeper will find them extremely boring, they are my favorite fish. I give them mostly flies, earwigs, but they eat pretty much anything that falls onto the surface.

Cichlids would eat all sorts of insects and spiders too... at least my Festivums do. There isn't much they don't eat.

I have Black Widows around the house and in the garage too... so far we have been lucky...

We had Black Widows back in VA, haven't seen any here yet. Unlike the Brown Recluse, they look scary. That photo gives me the heebie jeebies. No doubt what it is. Nice pic, brr.

The great thing about butterfly fish is they wouldn't eat my tetras or shrimp while they were in the process of consuming whatever bugs were made available. That's what keeps me from going for ciclids.

^iMp^, you spoony bard, what a great idea in that article. Those things work better than sliced bread. I'd just be afraid they'd tickle too much and drive me crazy.

the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out...
