I can't remember who, or where the thread is about it on here, but at LEAST one member has started up his/her own marine forum for salt-water discussion. I'm hoping this person will see this thread, or some one else remembers what the site is.

The best marine sites/forums are ..

http://www.reefcentral.com
http://www.reeffrontiers.com/
http://www.reefs.org/
http://advancedaquarist.com/
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/

Reef Central is by far probably the most active aquarist forum around, at any given time there are usually 1200 people online. Most questions you have can be found just by searching their forum before even asking someone else.

I've kept reef tanks for years (http://www.reeffrontiers.com/photos_...cat=500&page=1) I'm just now getting into planted tanks as kind of a way to step back and appreciate something else. I've got a nano reef now for soft corals, but my 75g has been taken down. I wish I'd gotten into planted tanks earlier, but I'm glad I learned my water chemistry in a marine environment.

Nice tank Desolas. I havent really been too inticed with the reef keeping yet, at least not to the extent of having a reef. A couple of corals would be nice but currently its just fowlr. My planted tanks arent going anywhere, they get to stay put, the salt water is more of a side track. they definitely have a different selection/perspective on things. Thanks for the links guys, very informative!

Planted tanks are all about shrimp.
