RC Cars/Trucks

Hey guys and gals,

Anyone into RC cars? I have the Traxxas E-Revo VXL that I have been messing with. I have the 1/10 scale also. Both brushless of course.

I am really digging the mini.. It's a bat out of hell!

I have done tons of upgrades but just seeing what you all have done to your RC's.

I run a 1/8 Team associated Rc8b, sometimes at the lhs indoor clay track for fun. 4s at the track, 5s for bashing.

I also fly Quadcopters which is lot of fun

I have a Losi LST 1/8 that I used to run around quit a bit. Did a couple upgrades to it with gears and what not, but never got to heavy into it or took it to a proper track. Been so busy with other hobbies and 2 new kiddos now that it just sits in the garage. Was a ton of fun and love it but think I'm gonna have to get rid of it. Love pretty much anything with wheels and a motor (gas or electric).

I also have the original Losi LST. I upgraded the engine to an LRP .30 spec a while back. This truck hauls ass! I've been in to electric planes the last several years so I don't drive the truck as much as I used to.

What quad do you fly?

Ever since I got mine my 1/8 buggy just sits, 60 mph offroad rc gets boring after awhile, I even upped the gearing & my best gps reading (via iphone strapped) 84.3mph .

So I started going to the track for more enjoyment (takes skill/practice/lots of tuning through rear-center-front-differential oils/shock oils etc) & that gets boring after awhile, not to mention expensive (60$+ for a decent set of clay compound tires/wheels)

Now I just fly my Quad, loads of fun, especially barrel rolls

I hacked together a quad with parts obtained from various sources.

It uses a Multiwii as the flight controller. Using a cheap Turnigy RX flashed with er9x.

You guys have some bad arse cars! I was looking at a Losi.... The E-Maxx is really catching my eye though...

Here is a vid of my 1/16 e-revo. Dirty and I have done more updates but since the vid.

I also held my phone up instead of sideways... Whoops.

I also have a few mini helies. They are fun around the house. I got my first plane too. It's a hobby zone duet RTF. Not bad for a beginner.

Those crawlers are awesome Kado.

Mayphly - Your LST looked awesome. A lot more than mine ever did haha. I made the mistake one time of letting a buddy of mine try and drive it, and it ended up driving 50mph straight into the concrete slab of our rent house and broke the front suspension. He felt real bad and it wasnt to bad a fix, but still you forget how much time it takes to controll one starting out.
