Yep, they're quite interesting fish to say the least (interesting to look at, anyway). Very little is known about them as the only times scientists can study them they're dead or dying near the surface (which is how these people undoubtedly were able to access it).

I saw that in an article somewhere, too. Very cool animals.

That's actually a moderately-sized oarfish. Imagine one of those 50+ feet long!

I went to CIMI for camp a few times when i was younger. Really cool to see that this was found in an area where i've visited!
