To Stand or not to Stand?

Hey PT, how goes it? Once upon a time, I bought a tank. Now selling it. The stand it came with was peeling particle board (absolutely horrendous), and I never got around to building one. Two days ago, I see just a stand, in oak finish, good condition, for this tank's footprint for $10. My question is: In your opinion, is it worth picking this stand up to make a little more selling the tank? The tank itself is in great condition, watertight and will last a much longer time.

Thanks in advance

I'd get the stand. Even if you break even on the stand it will more than likely make it easier to sell.

I have to agree, I'd pay $10 for a nice oak finish stand for a 2.5 gal! anything larger and it's like their giving it away for free

I appreciate the responses, thanks all! It's a 55g stand, let's hope it's still there tomorrow. I'm hoping an aquarium stand wouldn't be a hot ticket item at a Goodwill, but we'll see. Also found a 2.5g tank there for four bucks last month: Shrimp tank.

Even if the stand ends up being in need of repair, it'd be worth it in that size. You can always beef things up with lumber inside the stand and just paint it if necessary.

For chump change, why think about it and just get it. $10 for a 55G tank stand is a steal if usable condition.
