Anyone know anything about old half dollars? (Value help!)

Got these half dollars from my grandmother awhile back. They've been sitting collecting dust. I dug them up while scrounging for any extra dollars I had laying around. At first I figured I could cash them in for the 8$ they're worth, then It dawned on me that they may be worth something more. Can anyone tell me anything about these coins? How much I can sell them for? How to sell them? IF I can even sell them?

Some of them feel like they could be silver.

The Ben Franklin half dollar is worth $7-$15. The 1964 Kennedy's are worth $7-$15. The 1966, 1967,1969 Kennedy's are worth $3-$5. And the 1976 Bicentennial are worth face value as their were a ton of them produced. These prices are for average circulated coins which those are. So do you still only want $8 for them because I would give you double that. J/K. Hang on to them longer and give them to your kids and by then they might be worth triple what they are now. I have a bunch of old coins from my dad and grandpa and I'm glad my parents kept them out of my reach until I was old enough to not go spend them on beer back in college. Trust me I would have.
