Oh man, I can't believe I haven't added Origin of Species to my nonfic list! I'm a bio major too, epic fail. I love Lovecraft, I've always got a shortstory of his loaded in ibooks just incase I forget my book.

Thanks so much for the input, at the rate I read for fun (darn text books take up too much time) I should be set with your recommendations for a while.

BTW, finished Mistress last night, 3 AM headlamp reading session. So good, appeals to the revolutionary in me.

Cold Days by Jim Butcher. It's the latest in the Dresden Files... urban fantasy.
Reading Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan out loud to the family. Funny stuff.

Love Mercedes Lackey but the nursing book got me employed gainfully. Keep after it - school does end someday soon!

You should also read "The Beak of the Finch".

My roommate says I'll die by giant turtle.

Haha I use it to reward myself Like today I got to pack a wound all by myself for the first time so might just let myself read a few chapters.

True ... Sometimes you just have to treat yourself.

I do it all the time, I've been an ICU nurse for 5 years now

I've been a nurse for over 30 years - if you don't take time for yourself, you lose your effectiveness & your focus. I find science fiction & fantasy the most effective escape but any kind of fiction will do.

Currently reading the last book of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" Trilogy - steamy stuff, now i see why so many ladies were reading it.

Before that it was the Hunger Games Trilogy, all 5 of a Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones).
