Dipping my toe in!

Hi everyone,

I joined about 6-7 months ago, but have always been a little timid on forums because I have trouble putting my thoughts into writing sometimes.

I have started setting up some planted tanks and thought now would be the time to try and dip my toe into the community. I have posted on the age thread and I am constantly looking at the tanks and thoughts of many of the members here.

Though I think I have a long way to go looking at what I have seen here. I hope to eventually be able to post some pics of great or even average tanks for everyone's enjoyment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to spending more time here still.

Welcome! You should set up a journal of your tank(s) so we can see your progress.

Working on getting a camera. Probably about a month or so. I have been keeping an excel sheet with my daily parameters. Next will be some sort of camera to record it.

Funny thing is I used to do photography for a living had the 4x5, Hasselblad, Nikon F2, and more. As the new digitals came out I got out of it. Now looking to get back in and have to buy equipment again. Other then my tripod. Kept the old Belkin I had it was a workhorse.

Welcome to the forum. You think all those great looking tanks happened overnight? You'll get there. Don't make your tank look like those you see here. Or anywhere really. Make them a reflection of YOU! Make them YOUR tanks.

If you really want another camera you can appreciate look at the Pentax 645 D

Welcome to PT! There is a lot of information to absorb here, I know from my own time spent reading and contemplating. Watch out though, it's addictive.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I will have to check out the Pentax. One step at a time that is the way I am going to take it. Hopefully this will lead to some nice looking tanks.
