Smile Hello from Canada Eh! New to this forum Not new to the hobby

hello folks!

i belong to a Canadian forum which is nice and it is local which helps for buying/trading. however, i want to broaden my search capabilities ad share with more people with experience! not that the other forum is bad. it's a great forum!

anyways, I am from Ontario Canada. I have had pets all my life and wont get into that too much. My hobby started when i was a little dude. started with red ear sliders and eventually breeding jack dempsey's. thats right folks, my dad and i use to breed them. for a kid thats not bad

And than came the cats, hamsters, gerbils, snakes, lizards, frogs of various types. although these pets were not all at once i have had my share of critters. what can i say, i LOVE animals. i was a succefull columbian red-tailed boa breeder and also bred bearded dragons. Certain life changes kind of put a damper on the whole reptile thing (got married
lol). all i have now is my cute old dog (American staffordshire) and a 46 gallon bowfront planted tank.

anyways, I look forward to learning, discussing and maybe even arguing with some of you LOL. Just kidding

current set up:

46 gallon Bowfront
fluval 306 and eheim 2213 filters
inline hydor heater
36" aquaticlife freshwater plant light 2x39w T5-HO
digital thermo

on the way right now is a co2 system. i have my cylinder im just waiting on regulator and the other goodies.

bosemani rainbows pair
blue neon rainbows pair
clown pleco
pearl gouramis
panda cory's
silver tip tetras
gold tetras
black neon tetras
total of 11 i think for all tetras
oh and three blue clawed shrimp (little buggers)

plants: forgive my spelling or scientific names

bacopa m
ludwiga repens
water sprite
amazon swords
another sword i cant remember
undulata crypt
dwarf sag
java ferns
some very little java moss

running at 80.4F because i had a scare with ick a month ago. so far so good

welcome. I'm from Hamilton. There is a few aquarium groups that meet in the GTA area, lots of auctions throughout the year that are fun, and addictive when you MUST have that bag, shrimp-specific meetings.

20g platy, , 2 x 10g shrimp, 3 x 20g shrimp, 7.5g shrimp and 1 great dane/mastiff puppy.

Thanks guys!

This is a pretty sweet forum! So much learning and reading.

My next project will be a 125 gallon high-tech tank. However, it will be planned right down to the smallest detail. I'm also gonna consider a place in my area that makes great tanks and uses different types of glass options and regular glass. They also have stands that coil be considered fancy furniture.

I'm leaning towards a complex planned aquascape. If I get around to it ill make a little thread dedicated to the build. And I'll outline as much detail as possible.

Again, I look forward to researching and planning my next move along with the help from fellow hobbyist.
