Or my buddy is just plain crazy ! :icon_roll
He stopped by the house at 7AM on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago seeming a bit distraught and asked me for what he called "a big favor". He asked if I could store one of his Harleys in my barn because his kids were moving things around in the garage and if they scratched the bike he would snap, so of course I told him No Problem I have plenty of room.
This is actually his "second bike" , his other is a real gem !
Anyways he shows up an hour later with the bike on a trailer , unloads it and proceeds to tell me that it needs a battery and maybe a front tire , hands me the keys to the lock , then the ignition keys "in case" I want to take it for a ride someday. I told him all I need were the keys to the lock in case I needed to move it around in the barn.
He said just take the keys and then hands me the registration papers. I said I DEFINATELY dont want to hold onto those and then he says well you are going to need them along with this...the TITLE and says I want you to have this bike !!!
As you can imagine I was in shock !
After a few weeks of asking him why not just sell it and being sure that he is not dying and "Willing" this bike to me... I am finally at peace with this gift and not worried about my friends health AND LOVE IT !!
Me and him have even managed a couple of short rides together, only short rides of course till I get her registered.
So I ask you... Is this an act of kindness ? or insanity ? I told him...I always knew he would give me the shirt off his back if I needed it but I never thought he would give me a Harley from his garage !
Well here are a couple "clickable" photos of my new bike.
