Math geeks and engineers
So I'm in the market for a graphing calculator for calculus and beyond. I'm in the electrical engineering program at UMass.
The class' website still recommends the TI-86, despite the fact that it is out of production. I have never been a fan of TI, the inputs have always felt clunky and awkward. They try to simplify the inputs for students, but I think it really makes it more difficult and not user friendly.
I've been using a Casio and really like it. Inputs and usability are a lot better. Simple and straight forward.
Anyway, does anybody have recommendations on graphing calculators and why? What makes it better, even if it is a TI. Not looking for anything crazy to program games or anything like that, just for higher math functions.
