MFK being sued by Monster Energy

Monster Energy Company the makers of Monster Energy drink are preparing to sue a local man over the use of the letter M. The local man owns and operates a group of web forums dedicated to the aquarium hobby. The web forums fall under the Monster Aquaria Network logo. Monster Energy Company thinks that their customers will confuse his fish forum with their beverage. Please consider a story or at least a Facebook blurb on this.

Thanks either way

umm, it's pretty obvious what they should do. Don't defend but counter sue (get money from it). Every time power co repeal, they should counter sue. They should get the meanest pit bull lawyer they can find. Pay the lawyer with the winnings.

The Ms really don't look that much alike.....and I really doubt a fish forum is bothering an energy drink company's sales.

Send a message via Yahoo to gordonrichards
I sent a message to corporate.

A reminder:

Phoenician traders developed the alphabet utilized today, not Monster.
They cannot own the letter M.

Their company did trademark the letter M with claw marks.

Monsterfishkeepers trademarked the letter M with devil horns and prongs on the bottom of the M.

Two separate graphics in two separate markets.
One about Beverages and another about Fish.

I hope they don't give in. They don't own the word monster or the letter M. This is ridiculous.

Imagine what will happen when Monster Energy takes on Monster Cables. Both have been known to be ridiculously aggressive about coming after entities with "Monster" in their names.

Also, The Consumerist loves to write about Monster Cables taking on people, MFK should contact them about what Monster Energy is doing. A little public shame never hurt anyone.

How stupid can people get these days? First suing McDonald's for being fat and now claiming to own a generic word and a letter (logo sure, letter no)? This world never ceases to disappoint me. I wonder what's next. Best of luck to MFK in their endeavors. Hopefully they can manage as well as the brewery owner in the article linked above.

Some giant, savage MMA fighter with an identity complex should take on the name Monster.

I wonder if Corporate Suits would sue them?

Probably end up in a sponsorship deal instead.
