Do I have to join a club? Learn a secret hand shake?
Basically, you pay for your tickets. Its not much, last year it around $60-$80 or so. Plus, they can get you a great deal for a hotel. Its cheaper if you become a member of AGA (worth it, even if you don't go).
You'll learn the handshake when you go through initiation.
I know there isn't much info out there right now, but all I know is this will be most likely the first convention I will go to, so I know it will be awesome, as long as they mention the words "plant and aquarium" and at least 10 people there know what black beard algae is.

It's in the Midwest this year, St. Louis, MO. They are bringing in a lot of top notch speakers and I'm sure that the plant auction on Sunday will be pretty awesome. Stuff actually starts on Thursday so plan on a long and exhausting weekend of nothing but plant geeks gone wild! You'll have to go back to work on Monday or Tuesday to get some rest.
I know some GWAPA members will attend but I don't think I'll be one of them, I wish it was some place just a little warmer or up north in the summer. After checking the registration link, Kris Wienhold is one of our members and a speaker and it looks like Tom Barr will also be speaking. I would love to attend and meet some of these folks I've been typing at for years but man I hate the cold.
Caton you have got a lot going on for a young guy.
LOL, plant geeks gone wild!!! That indicates that folks won't even be taking their clothes of for a shower!!!
