I have a few other hobbies. My main interest is poultry/pheasants. I have been breeding/showing chickens for the last 12 years or so. I love playing with genetics and have made a few new color varieties that were good fads that made lots of money such as barred araucanas, dun laced wyandotte bantams, crele phoenix bantams, dun sumatras, and some other colors. This year I will be working on feather birds (breeding for long hackle/saddle for fly tying). I also have some show stock. Other than domestic chickens/ducks I have pheasants. This coming spring I will be breeding silver pheasants, amherst pheasants, and some melanistics.
Other than poultry I do taxidermy just for fun, I've had a colony of dermestid beetles since I was 15 just to clean skulls of whatever I come across. I also read lots and lots of books about evolution/extinction/island biogeography. I train horses, go camping/fishing all summer long, spend tons of time at the lake house, judge poultry, spend time with my kids/family. That is one reason why I am glad I don't have a job, I don't have to worry about not having enough time for my hobbies
