I can't imagine a whole club just popping. I like the "milder" dubstep with vocals in it.

This is why I love this board.

I play World of Tanks (freebie, WWII tank game where you blow people up) and I listen to dubstep, trance etc while playing and one of my favs is Skrillex - I Want to Kill Everybody.

In general I like dusbstep, trance, progressive house etc. If you have Linux and download Audacity you can pretty much record live streams like Pandora or even I Heart Radio which you can custom tailor your stations as well. I have a pretty good collection myself now. Sadly even though you can download Audacity for Windows it will not allow stream recording because Windows does not allow the soundcard to be recognized as a line device. I've tried, believe me.

Age 39, and the same

I tend to veer more towards any music that has heavy / dirty bass. Just a bass kinda person. Classical, industrial, drum and bass, dubstep, etc.

There are some dubstep pieces or artists that I don't favor, some that I do.

Depends on the mood I'm in or time I'm playing a set, but I never play "bro" step (skrillex)

Good chill dubstep:
phaeleh
indigo
truth (can be heavy on synths but has good chillstep)
DFRNT
Von D
Lojik ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2mtQv-TOr4 , probably the best rmx)
Optimus Gryme (has heavy mixes but produces dope chill stuff)
Synkro
Haywyre (technically glitch hop but nevertheless really good chill stuff)
Hatti Vatti ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmccXcZao78 , make sure you have good subs for this one )
submerse ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtkJxdi61Nw , again need some subs to appreciate )

Most times I play out I usually stick to crunkstep/purple/thug hop

Unlimited Gravity just cause I saw someone post they like awolnation and this rmx is dope
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1wjL4BqXlI

Slim thugz has another one as well a bit heavier but still good
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu16oVYY1-k

An-ten-nae's new acid crunk vol. 4 is ridiculously good. For example
Knight Riderz

Lowriderz and knight riderz

Stephan Jacobs

Nico Luminous

Heyoka

And because I have no shame here's my first mix posted to the PLF Podomatic that you can download for FREE

THe fact here is that it is becoming ridiculously easy to do this stuff. A midi board and a computer and you're dropping tracks in a few hours.

LMAO, if it were that easy!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who thinks music production is easy can feel free to upload their tracks. You need a lot more than a mid keyboard and a computer to drop tracks in just days let alone a few hours. The dubstep technique is a bit formulaic (140 bpm and written in half-time) but it still take actual talent to make music that sounds good. The equipment is way more accessible now than ever before, but that just means there is that much more crap to wade through.

I even have duckweed in my water bong!

amen. Although I was really hoping he would see I quoted and proved me wrong by posting one of their awesome dubstep tracks. No worries though, it hasn't been two hours yet, probably just tweaking the sound a bit. You know how those bass lines can mess with your gain structure.

Here's a track I forgot to post earlier (my roommates rmx of the beach boys)
