No matter how hard I tried I could never get my tanks to look this good. I still do and always have considered aquascaping an art. You are a true artist, sir. Very nice work.
Very nice! I tried my hands at a minimalist tank as well and hit the same road block. You have to be exactly on with the light output or its algae city.
What size is your tank, PaperClown? Beautiful set-up. I may try and rip off your 'scape, perhaps with a little different plant. I do have this recurring problem every time I try to do a minimalist thing. I always end up sticking a plant in every available space; I can't seem to help myself!
Remove as much as possible using a toothbrush and a narrow siphon hose. Then increase CO2 and nutrient levels. Your co2 and nutrient levels are way to low,and the light is to excessive .
My co2 is cranked up however you may be right about nutrients. I've been laying off them because I thought I had too much given all the nasty crap.
