Well I'm thinking of going lower tech. Also after the tank has gone downhill abit I miss my High Grade CRS, the solution if to rescape.
Now that I have more time consumed with family and baby I need a tank that requires less maintence and time. I will still use CO2 I will just turn it back some. Also the lighting will run minimal time. I want to be able to dose as I have the time not a mandatory or else type of thing.
Here are some pics of the wood I put together. I've yet to soak it so it would take a week or so to prep it.
I would probably use the following plants:
Anubias Petite Have several portions
Mini Pellia Have plenty to go around with
Hydrocotyle Verticillata working on getting some of the real thing
Hydrocotyle Vulgaris I have some of this now
Glosso I think would be a good carpet.
I'm not a huge Java Fern guy so I am trying to stay with the rounded leaves of the Anubias. I may try and get an Anubias Marbled or Anubias Nana or something for a slightly larger leaf.
I've contemplated using soem sand as substrate but like the fact the amazonia will lower ph as I'm jsut using tap water right now at a ph of 8 instead of RO.
This will also allow me to keep the High Grade CRS I'm After or Orange Eyed blue tigers possibly.
Ideas, concerns, just your 2 cents I would like to hear it all.
