Help me plan my aquascape!

I am making my first attempt at a freshwater planted tank. I am in the beginning stages now, getting more and more set up everyday. I have a 75 gallon tank and plan to have 4 or 5 discus fish when all is said and done.

Right now I just have a new tank, a stand, and a new Sunsun 303-B canister filter (see photo). Within the next week or so I expect to receive my BuildMyLED Dutch Planted 6300 fixture, 100 lbs of Eco Complete substrate, and heater. Once the substrate comes in, I will add it, fill the tank and run the filter. No lights until the plants go in, and no fish until I am done scaping (I realize this may take several weeks).

I would like some aquascaping ideas, preferably a blueprint so to speak, and a list of plants (both foreground and background) that would do well with the discus. I would prefer to go without CO2 if possible, just ferts and FE.

Any ideas would be welcome; I want to do it right the first time.
