NEW MEMBER CRITIQUE w/ progression photos

Well, back in May I started this 29g tank. I started looking at this forum before starting to get ideas. Lots of great info and pictures. So here's the break down

29g tank
Quietflow 30 HOB
Cascade 700 canister
Marineland single bright led (soon upgrade to fugeray- I think)

White sand with flourish root tabs
amazon sword
anubias
Hygro
water wisteria
a couple others that I didn't get the names of.

Fish-
4 neon tetras
4 tiger barbs
2 clown loaches
1 angel
2 blue guaramis
1 dwarf guarami
1 red tail shark
1 bristlenose albino pleco

Been dosing seachem flourish. Plants seem to be doing well for the most part. Hoping the new light will be the catalyst for new growth. Prefer not to get into co2 right now..

All opinions and recommendations welcome. Thanks for looking!

Look great! Have you had any issues with plants floating up out of the sand? I'm hoping to do a tank with sand soon and was curious about that...

Not really, no. If the plants have a good root system they do pretty well so far. I tried one of the plants that don't have roots and just grow from a stem (not sure what they are called) had some trouble with those, but I pushed a good portion of it into the sand.

I like the sand. Seems to keep plant/fish waste on the top and easier to clean up. I want to add some black sand around the rocks but maybe one day if I ever move it all to a larger tank.

No he doesn't. The loaches like to pull some of the plants up though.

I really need a new light!
