Towels are always necessary. I also have an empty Country Crock (my fav) container to use for bailing water and holding plant trimmings etc. I bought a set of tweezers from Harbor Freight ($3 for 5 styles. All stainless) a while ago that have become invaluable to me. I use them for everything from feeding to planting.
For feeding I use the reverse tweezers to grab chunks of frozen blood worms to spot feed my rams and use them to hold pellets to poke through the floaters on top of my shrimp tank so the food makes it to the bottom where the shrimp will find it.
Regular style tweezers makes it very easy to plant in tight spaces.
buckets, 10in curved forceps, 10 in straight forceps, 10 in flesh sissors, glass scraper, I use a couple of floating breeder boxes to drip acclimate new fish, i put the the breeder box in the bucket with a small heater and drip water out of my tank using a knotted peice of airline hose. the breeders come in handy for holding cuttings you havent found a place for as well
