Rocks aquascaping... Question?

I got some of my rocks for my scape. I feel tat some of them are pretty big, some will be place on substrate, but other may sit directly on the glass bottom...

Should i use some kind of protection for the glass?? If so ..any suggestion??

You can use plastic egg crate to spread out the weight of heavier rocks.

If they are smooth stones, you can normally place them directly on the glass without issue.

If they are irregularly shaped and have points or jagged edges, it would be advisable to place them on a piece of eggcrate.

A jagged edged stone on the bottom of a pile could create a pressure point on the glass and cause it to rupture.
