Sagebrush "stumps"

I've searched but gotten mixed results, is Sagebrush wood aquarium safe? I found some great knarled and twisted stumps that wood look awesome in my tank.

I've seen something called sagebrush in the sierras, I'm not certain if that's what you are referring to, or if there are a bunch of stuff called sagebrush.

The stuff I seen I don't think would work well in a tank, I don't think they were truly wood, and when I would use it for fire building, it seemed pretty fragile and soft.

I don't really have any experience using it for anything aside from that, so I don't know if that's any help at all...
