1st nano scape... Planting help

So this is my Fluval Spec V

Just got the last of my plant "candidates" in and got them all in the substrate. The idea is to use this tank as propagation so that when I set up my 20 long I will have a good portion of things to start.

I will probably take out a few as time goes that I dislike or when tastes change and I also have another Buce in the way (ones already in there).

But enough chit chat.

All sorts of stuff in there but let me know what you think could be changed

If you want use stem plant for back ground , then you need at least 5-10 stems( not only2 or 3)----->indica rotala , myrio mattogrossense, l repen
In the front , you should put more glossostigma(carpet) , and use Co2 , strong light
So far , I like your set up

Most in there are over 5, they're just short, and the others are getting grown out in order to be eventually cut and regrown

I have HC in the middle and glosso on the left so I'm good on carpets now. Just waiting to see what starts to fill in better.

Got CO2 and light

Gracias!

i like your spec 5. i've got no suggestions, because i'm brand new to the idea of scaping. i've used whatever "just stuffing plants in there" method in the past

I happened on this thread cause i got a spec 2 and no matter how hard i try, i'm just not loving it. I'm thinking about going for a 5 instead.

Thanks!

I don't really know either. I'm just going forward with a basic idea and hopefully it works. If not, I'll just change it

I'd definitely recommend upgrading. The extra space is so nice!
