Sadly, I realized I can't raise the clamp light. I'll have to get another fixture, but that's not an option due to a tight budget.

Only thing is you may appreciate keeping them in the same spectrum of viewing for your own pleasure.

How deep is this tank exactly? I may have an idea that could be cheap.
It is 24 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 12.5 inches in height. I would be very interested in hearing your idea.

I think you're going to be disappointed once you get it planted up and realize you're only getting about an 18" radius of coverage with just the single bulb. You can certainly start off with it but I would start saving to add a fixture and get a couple bulbs to match that wattage.

Something like this has been suggested in the past. It is what some people use to escape the $100 fixtures.

Two would be perfect probably. Other suggestions would be welcomed. I am not great with lights, I'm just a moss guy.

Yup, I'm the type of guy who is cheap lol. I asked my dad for a new fixture and I told him it was going to be around $100. He gave me a look that made me regret about even thinking of getting a full size one. I actually do have an old fixture for this, but its max wattage is 15 watts, which is not sufficient for growing HC.

Yes, the RHS needs...PLANTS

Honestly, your tank, you are the one that looks at it the most. Your opinion is the most important one.

Don't think we can see that Frank lol... yeah fill out the right side with some plants and it will look more complete. Just research which plants would suit you and your tank best. Best of luck, Matt
